A young couple has the intention of introducing their parents to each other, thinking that a weekend trip away from home would be the perfect opportunity. However, their plans don't go as expected. The more traditional parents, Sharon and Frank, struggle to find common ground with the laid-back parents, Liddy and Cliff. To make matters worse, they discover that the house they rented from the eccentric Brenda is inhabited by a 400-year-old ghost. This mischievous spirit decides to possess one of the parents, forcing the main characters to come together and find a way to get rid of the evil presence once and for all, regardless of the challenges they may face.
