In the vibrant and unforgiving aftermath of London's post-industrial revolution, two inseparable friends hailing from Jamaica, Ezekiah and Alec, found themselves immersed in a captivating and treacherous world. Their journey led them into the thriving boxing scene, where Ezekiah, one of the protagonists, encounters Mary Carr, the formidable leader of the infamous London gang known as the "Forty Elephants." Comprised solely of fearless women who fiercely navigate the city's streets, this gang fights relentlessly for survival.

Within Ezekiah's newfound boxing career, he crosses paths with Sugar Goodson, a seasoned and perilous fighter. A fierce rivalry emerges between them, extending far beyond the confines of the boxing ring.
