Three strangers arrive in Emond's Field: the minstrel Thom Merrilin, the stunning Lady Moiraine, and her protector Lan. Lady Moiraine is a member of the organization known as the "Aes Sedai" and she strongly believes that the forces of evil are searching for five teenagers, one of whom is the rebirth of a mighty ancient being. It is prophesied that upon her return to the world, she will protect humanity by causing harm. The TV show is an adaptation of Robert Jordan's book series with the same title.
